Teaching as always been a passion of mine since I was a child. I decided to become a teacher because I wanted to be able to inspire others, like how my favorite teachers inspired me. I want to be able to make a positive influence on a student’s life, whether it is a small or big influence. I believe that I have the skills and characteristics that I need to become a successful teacher. Since I was young I love to teach others about the things that I knew. When I was fifteen, I was already teaching other kids how to swim. Outside of teaching at school, I am a youth leader for a Buddhist Youth group. Volunteering, I believe, is an important quality to have as a teacher.

As a teacher, I aim to create an atmosphere that encourages curiosity and sheer determination. Our classroom is a place where students feel important, respected, cared for and believed in. I am a teacher who makes it possible for her students to reach their full potential, ask questions, learn from their mistakes, give and receive feedback, create and try their best. In our classroom, real world problems are solved and each student believes that they can make a difference in this world. Together, we celebrate each other’s success and inspire each other to be the best person that we can be.
